Lead HVAC Installer – $5,000 Signing Bonus

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled installer who can independently manage residential and commercial HVAC, hydronic, and boiler installation projects from start to finish. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally with customers, and can confidently lead helpers when assigned.

Qualified candidates are eligible for a $5,000 Signing Bonus.

What You’ll Do

As a Lead HVAC Installer, you will independently install, wire, start up, and commission a variety of residential and commercial systems, including:

• Furnaces
• Air conditioners
• Heat pumps
• Ductless mini-split systems
• Cast-iron boilers
• Condensing boilers
• Tankless water heaters
• Commercial rooftop units
• Commercial split systems
• Hydronic heating systems

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing residential and commercial HVAC and boiler replacement projects from start to finish
• Organizing each project and directing helpers or apprentices when assigned
• Installing equipment according to manufacturer specifications and local codes
• Completing boiler piping and hydronic system installations
• Performing copper water piping, soft soldering, brazing, and ProPress work
• Wiring HVAC equipment, controls, thermostats, and accessories
• Starting up, testing, and commissioning newly installed equipment
• Verifying proper system operation, safety, and performance
• Performing equipment setting and rigging using ladder lifts and crane-assisted lifts
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Completing installation documentation and job paperwork accurately
• Educating customers on the proper operation and maintenance of their new equipment

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 5 years of HVAC installation experience
• Ability to independently run residential and commercial HVAC installation projects
• Experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and commercial HVAC equipment
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• Ability to lead and direct helpers or apprentices
• Experience operating ladder lifts and working with crane-assisted equipment installations
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and move equipment
• Ability to work in attics, basements, crawlspaces, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor environments

Required Boiler and Hydronic Experience

• Proven cast-iron and condensing boiler installation experience
• Expert-level boiler piping and hydronic installation skills
• Strong copper water piping and soldering experience
• Proficiency with soft soldering, brazing, and ProPress
• Ability to immediately lead and complete boiler installations with little to no additional training

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification
• NATE Certification
• Tankless water heater installation experience
• Experience training or mentoring apprentices and helpers

$5,000 Signing Bonus

The $5,000 Signing Bonus is available to qualified candidates hired into the Lead HVAC Installer position and will be paid in installments during the employee’s first year:

• 30 days: $250
• 90 days: $500
• 6 months: $1,000
• 9 months: $1,250
• 1 year/365 days: $2,000

Employees must remain actively employed and in good standing at each milestone to receive the corresponding payment. Any unpaid future installments will be forfeited if employment ends before the applicable payment date.
