Who you are

  • You have bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • You are ACA, CPA or similarly qualified
  • You are Big 4 trained in assurance, with post Qualified experience in practise or industry being a strong benefit
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, listening and communication skills
  • Ability to think outside the box, challenge convention and creatively partner with the team. Must embrace Riot's mission, culture and values
  • You can create reports and analyses using Excel and associated accounting software like Oracle
  • Monthly group reporting experience would be beneficial

What the job involves

  • As a Financial Accountant in Riot Games' Dublin office, you'll own the day-to-day accounting for several key areas across multiple countries
  • From preparing reconciliations and analysing financial trends to supporting audits, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate reporting, you'll play an important role in maintaining the integrity of our financials
  • You will also be involved in some of our key revenue stream processes
  • This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail while contributing to a global finance team
  • This is a 13 month contract and will be based onsite in the Dublin city centre office on a hybrid basis
  • You will take ownership of several key accounting areas, including prepayments, accruals, VAT and leases. You will be responsible for raising the monthly journals, preparing reconciliations, updating reporting packages and answering queries from the Central Consolidation team
  • You will partner with the Revenue team on the monthly operational process, assisting with PSP data preparation, reconciliations, reporting summaries, cash receipts and invoicing activities
  • You will work closely with the General Ledger team to ensure financial reporting and disclosures comply with local GAAP and statutory requirements.

    You will also lead the audit process for your assigned areas and manage related statutory and regulatory reporting to local authorities

  • You will act as a trusted finance partner, responding to ad hoc accounting questions, performing analysis, and resolving issues efficiently
  • Bring an investigative and analytical mindset, independently researching issues, identifying unusual trends, and determining the underlying causes to support informed decision-making
  • Work independently while collaborating across functions, partnering with teams including Tax, Legal, HR, and Finance, as well as colleagues across our US office and other European entities
  • Communicate clearly and objectively, using data and facts to explain financial matters, provide recommendations, and keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and outcomes
  • Effective time management and proactive stakeholder communication will be crucial for achieving success in this role
