The Role


Reporting to the Finance Manager/Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while contributing to financial reporting, compliance, analysis and process improvement initiatives.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Assisting with the monthly financial close process, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reviews and financial analysis.

  • Supporting monthly reporting, management accounts and cashflow forecasting.

  • Maintaining financial records and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting information.

  • Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

  • Supporting annual audits and regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and business performance reporting.

  • Supporting tax compliance activities, including VAT and other statutory returns.

  • Contributing to finance process improvements and system enhancements.

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

  • Undertaking ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required.


The Ideal Candidate



  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

  • 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in a financial accounting or similar finance role.

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, controls and reporting requirements.

  • Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated, proactive and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

  • Experience in manufacturing, life sciences, engineering, healthcare, technology or other multinational environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
