About the Role

Are you an experienced Microsoft consultant with a strong understanding of both the Microsoft and Google Workspace ecosystems? Do you enjoy helping users solve business challenges by identifying the right technology rather than building the solution yourself?

This role sits within the Microsoft Services function, supporting users who are transitioning locally developed Google-based solutions to Microsoft technologies. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will deliver expert guidance through scheduled consultation sessions, helping users understand their migration options and select the most appropriate Microsoft platforms and services for their business needs.

Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to provide technical and architectural advisory services to end users migrating solutions from Google Workspace to the Microsoft ecosystem. You will assess existing solutions, understand business requirements, and recommend appropriate Microsoft technologies, ensuring users are equipped with clear, practical guidance before implementation begins.

Working closely with Microsoft platform owners, architects, and technical teams, you will promote best practices, encourage adoption of Microsoft services, and contribute to consistent migration guidance across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled advisory sessions to users migrating locally developed Google solutions to Microsoft technologies.
• Assess existing Google Workspace solutions and understand business and technical requirements.
• Recommend appropriate Microsoft technologies, platforms, and services based on user requirements.
• Advise on solution architecture, integration approaches, and migration strategies across the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Guide users towards the most appropriate low-code, no-code, or pro-code Microsoft solution for their use case.
• Provide technical guidance across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Lists, Microsoft Forms, OneDrive, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft Copilot, Azure services, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Explain solution capabilities, limitations, architectural considerations, and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advise on governance, security, compliance, licensing, and maintainability considerations where appropriate.
• Produce concise recommendations and follow-up guidance following advisory engagements.
• Collaborate with Microsoft platform owners, solution architects, and engineering teams where specialist expertise is required.
• Identify common migration scenarios and contribute to reusable guidance, documentation, and knowledge assets.
• Maintain awareness of emerging Microsoft technologies and recommend new capabilities where they add business value.
• Promote consistent adoption of Microsoft solutions through clear, practical, and technically sound advisory services.
• Refer users to the appropriate delivery or implementation teams where further technical development is required.
• Undertake additional duties as required to support the Microsoft Services function.

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Proven experience working across the Microsoft technology ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, collaboration technologies, and modern workplace solutions.
• Experience advising customers or internal stakeholders on solution architecture, platform selection, or technology strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical Microsoft solutions.
• Experience facilitating workshops, discovery sessions, or technical consultation engagements.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to evaluate multiple solution options.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, Microsoft Graph, and Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft governance, security, compliance, and licensing considerations.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Google Apps Script, AppSheet, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Sites, and related Google development technologies.
• Experience supporting Google-to-Microsoft migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with Azure services and enterprise integration patterns.
• Knowledge of Power Platform solution architecture and governance.
• Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, or Azure.
