Job Description

We are working with a rapidly growing institutional fintech business seeking to appoint a Head of Marketing.

The company has built a highly regarded data, risk and analytics platform serving the global quantitative investment strategies market. Following significant institutional investment, it is entering an important new phase of international growth.

This is a global marketing role with two central objectives:

  • Building a distinctive and credible brand
  • Creating a measurable, scalable lead-generation engine

The successful candidate will take ownership of the marketing strategy while remaining genuinely hands-on. You will work with an existing marketing professional and may gradually add one or two further team members, but this will remain a focused and highly effective function rather than a large corporate department.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the company’s global brand and market positioning
  • Building a consistent pipeline of high-quality institutional leadsCreating and measuring inbound marketing campaigns
  • Improving CRM, marketing automation and lead attribution
  • Using analytics and AI to increase marketing effectiveness
  • Producing compelling content for sophisticated institutional audiences
  • Working closely with senior sales, product and executive stakeholders
  • Establishing clear measures of lead quality, conversion and return on marketing investment

We are looking for an experienced financial-markets marketer who understands areas such as:

  • Investment data and analytics
  • Risk and portfolio management
  • Indices, benchmarks or investment technology
  • Institutional asset management and capital markets

Relevant backgrounds could include organisations such as MSCI, Axioma, FTSE Russell, BlackRock, an investment bank, asset manager, index provider or specialist financial technology company.

This role will particularly suit someone who wants to move beyond the limitations of a large established organisation and play a central role in building the next stage of an ambitious company’s growth.

You must be comfortable operating in a scale-up environment, creating structure where it does not yet exist and personally delivering important elements of the work.

The position is based in London and offers a base salary of approximately £100,000, with flexibility for an exceptional individual. A bonus and potentially meaningful participation in the company’s new equity option plan will also form part of the package.
