Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join a cross-regional delivery team modernizing and scaling CI/CD and cloud-native platform practices for mid-to-large-scale enterprise application stacks. This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role: you will own the build, release, and platform automation lifecycle end‑to‑end, working across Kubernetes-based environments to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure. The ideal candidate has deep experience operating in large-scale, complex delivery environments with strong end‑to‑end architecture exposure, and is comfortable taking ownership of ambiguous problems from discovery through resolution.
Responsibilities
- Experience implementing and managing HashiCorp Vault for secrets and credentials management.
- Working knowledge of CSI (Container Storage Interface) for persistent storage in Kubernetes environments.
- Proficiency with Git, Docker, Ansible, and shell scripting; Python experience is desirable.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database integration.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence to support development and deployment processes.
- Demonstrated experience operating in large-scale, complex enterprise environments, with strong end‑to‑end architecture and delivery process exposure.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 7+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
- Proven, hands‑on senior‑level experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and release management for enterprise‑scale applications.
- Strong expertise in CI/CD tooling, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Advanced, production‑grade experience with Kubernetes, including cluster administration, workload management, and troubleshooting at scale.
- Hands‑on experience with Helm for application packaging and deployment.
Soft Skills
- Strong sense of ownership — takes accountability for outcomes across the CI/CD and delivery lifecycle.
- Proactive in identifying risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities before they impact delivery.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to work across cross‑regional and cross‑functional teams.
- Sound judgment in escalation management — knows when and how to raise blockers to the right stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in large‑scale, complex environments with broad end‑to‑end architecture and delivery exposure.
- Self‑starter who adapts quickly to new tools, processes, and ambiguous situations.
- Collaborative team player who fosters knowledge‑sharing and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications / Nice‑to‑Have
- Familiarity with Fabric.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and global, distributed team collaboration.
- Familiarity with distributed caching software such as Apache Ignite or GemFire.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
- Experience documenting and sharing DevOps best practices across teams.
- Work with cross‑regional development teams to modernize and streamline CI/CD pipelines for mid‑to‑large‑scale enterprise application stacks.
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD workflows using Jenkins and GitHub Actions, automating build, test, and release processes to reduce manual effort and increase delivery speed.
- Take ownership of the CI/CD and release management processes end‑to‑end, ensuring reliability, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Administer and scale Kubernetes clusters at an advanced level, using Helm for application packaging, templating, and deployment.
- Implement and manage secrets and credentials using HashiCorp Vault, and configure CSI (Container Storage Interface) drivers for persistent storage in containerized environments.
- Enhance existing automation using Ansible and shell scripting, aligning infrastructure‑as‑code practices with evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with global teams to assess and improve current CI/CD and release workflows, ensuring seamless integration across development and operations.
- Manage the broader DevOps toolchain — Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jira, and Confluence — to support development and deployment processes.
- Monitor pipelines and platform health, proactively troubleshooting issues and driving root‑cause resolution.
- Act as a self‑starter, comfortable tackling unknown‑unknowns and leading initiatives to mature DevOps and platform engineering practices.
- Share knowledge and mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
