Teachers Health, was created by teachers for teachers over 65 years ago and is the only health fund exclusively for the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members covering the lives of more than 500,000 teachers, education staff & their families.

What will you do? / How will you help?

As a Membership Services Officer, you’ll be the trusted first point of contact for our members and providers, delivering accurate, caring and efficient service every day. You’ll play a key role in ensuring members feel supported throughout their journey with Teachers Health.

You’ll Do This By

  • Providing high-quality customer service and assistance to current and prospective members and providers
  • Handling inbound enquiries and resolving issues in a professional, accurate and timely manner
  • Aiming for first call resolution wherever possible, while escalating enquiries appropriately when required
  • Managing day-to-day membership administration, including simple membership changes
  • Maintaining strong and up-to-date knowledge of Teachers Health products, policies and procedures
  • Identifying and referring sales and member retention opportunities when appropriate
  • Championing our values and bringing Work with HEART to every interaction
  • Contributing to organisational KPIs relating to quality, risk & compliance, WHS, gender equality and culture
  • Actively supporting a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • Customer service experience in fast-paced, complex environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer literacy and ability to work across multiple systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a member-first mindset
  • Flexibility to adapt to change and varying priorities
  • A commitment to quality, accuracy and continuous learning
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents

Desirable

  • Experience in a contact centre environment
  • Health insurance or similar industry experience

This role starts on Monday 14th September 2026. While you're in training, your shift will be from 8:30am to 4:30 pm. Once the classroom training is over, your scheduled hours will be seven hours per day, and shift scheduling will vary between 10:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Thursday and 10:00am - 6:30pm Friday.
