Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kumbakonam. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing financial statements and reports. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, assisting with budgeting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
The role involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, as well as providing accurate financial data to support leadership decisions. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, respond to audit requests, and contribute to process improvements within the finance function.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to support management decisions and performance tracking.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control practices, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Experience using accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., ERP systems, spreadsheets, and financial dashboards).
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and the ability to work with confidential financial information responsibly.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, or CPA-equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in corporate or multinational environments and familiarity with fast-paced, growth-oriented businesses is beneficial.
