Job Description
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
Master's degree or additional railway engineering certifications will be considered an asset.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in railway track engineering and rail transit infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience delivering complex multidisciplinary rail and transit projects.
- Demonstrated experience in technical leadership and project management roles.
- Experience working directly with clients and key stakeholders.
- Proven success leading engineering teams and mentoring technical professionals.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of railway engineering design and construction standards, including:
- AREMA
- CN Standards
- CPKC Standards
- TCRP Guidelines
- Transport Canada requirements
Thorough understanding of:
- Railway track design
- Track geometry
- Construction methodologies
- Inspection practices
- Asset management
- Railway maintenance requirements
Advanced proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- Civil 3D
- Corridor Modeling Tools
- Bentley OpenRail Designer
- Navisworks
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary rail projects involving:
- Civil Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Utilities
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Rail Systems
- Operations
Languages
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
- French proficiency will be considered a strong asset.
