Role Description:
This is a full time, on-site Sales Engineering role located in Mississauga, ON. The Sales Engineer will support customers and prospects by identifying boiler and burner solutions that align with technical requirements and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing proposals, sizing and selecting equipment, and collaborating with engineering, technical, and sales teams.
The role involves providing product demonstrations, responding to sales inquiries, and offering application support to wholesalers, contractors, engineers, and building owners. The Sales Engineering will also assist with follow-up on quotations, support after-sale technical issues, and contribute to maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.
Key Duties:
- Technical Consultation:
Review complex technical drawings and specifications to ensure equipment compatibility and performance.
- Equipment Selection:
Utilize your engineering background to select the most suitable boilers, burners, and pump systems for specific project needs.
- Sales & Business Development:
Identify new sales opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Field Support:
Conduct site visits to assess existing systems, evaluate boiler replacements, and provide on-site technical guidance.
- Quoting & Proposals:
Prepare accurate, timely, and professional quotes for commercial and industrial projects.
Qualifications:
- Education in mechanical engineering, HVAC, or a related technical field.
- 1–5 years of professional experience within the HVAC industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD is required.
- Experience in Sales and Customer Service, with a focus on building relationships, managing inquiries, and supporting customers through the full sales cycle.
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with industrial or commercial boiler systems, combustion equipment, or related mechanical equipment is an asset.
- Comfort working on-site in a sales environment, including visits to customer locations, job sites, or mechanical rooms as needed.
- Ability to work independently and manage full-time hours effectively.
