About the role

Sugar Styling is seeking a dedicated and professional Truck Driver to join our warehousing, storage and distribution operations. This is a full-time position based in Molendinar, QLD 4214. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in our logistics network, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers.

This position is integral to maintaining our reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction within the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain commercial vehicles in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all road and safety regulations
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes to meet scheduled deadlines and customer requirements
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and organisation of cargo
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and vehicle maintenance
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, management and customers regarding delivery status and any delays
• Comply with all applicable transport legislation, weight restrictions and safety protocols
• Provide professional customer service and represent Sugar Styling in a positive manner during all customer interactions
• Support warehouse operations as required, including assisting with stock management and organisation

What we're looking for

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) driver's licence, depending on vehicle requirements
• Current Driver Qualification Card (DQC) or willingness to obtain one
• Minimum 2 years of commercial truck driving experience in a similar distribution or logistics environment
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transport legislation applicable in Queensland
• Excellent vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspection skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and handle goods of varying weights
• Reliable attendance record and a commitment to punctuality
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
• Experience with route planning software or GPS navigation systems is advantageous
