About the Role
In this hands-on finance role, you’ll work to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, timely reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a key part in analysing revenue performance, including Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding, trends and financial risks, providing clear insights to support informed decision-making, budgeting, forecasting and the organisation’s financial sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
Accurate and timely management of SDA funding and rental income, including tenant charges, recoverable costs and rent received in advance
Timely and accurate completion of ad hoc rent calculations and biannual rent reviews in accordance with applicable pricing, tenancy agreements and funding arrangements
Effective revenue accounting and assurance, including billing integrity, reconciliations, arrears analysis and revenue recovery
Productive working relationships with tenants, support coordinators, plan managers and the NDIA to support accurate billing, timely payments and effective resolution of account issues
Complete, timely and accurate reconciliations across Chintaro and MYOB Acumatica, ensuring the integrity of financial and tenant data
Continuous improvement of revenue, billing, rent review and arrears processes, including identifying opportunities for automation and enhanced operational efficiency
Effective contribution to the Finance team’s compliance, reporting and operational obligations under the direction of the General Manager Finance
What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a detailed-oriented, organised individual who enjoys finding answers and combining numbers with purpose. You will have strong financial and accounting skills.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Strong financial and accounting skills and experience.
At least 3 years’ experience working in a finance/accounting role.
Accurate data entry and word processing skills.
High level of competency with Excel, Word and Outlook
A positive and energetic approach to work.
High attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Strong time management skills.
The ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritise accordingly.
Be able to create, develop and maintain internal and external relationships with stakeholders.
Strong written communication skills.
Experience with SDA claiming processes or NDIS systems (e.g., PACE, MyPlace or similar) is highly regarded but not essential.
