Job Description
Senior Business Analyst
As a Senior Business Analyst within IT Enterprise Applications, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic alignment, owning end-to-end discovery, and shaping functional architecture across our enterprise ecosystems. You will work as a trusted partner alongside senior executives and stakeholders across the business to unpack highly complex challenges, define long-term requirements, and establish robust success criteria for global system implementations.
You will act as the primary strategic bridge between business units and development and admin teams, translating high-level business vision into scalable, structured, and actionable technical roadmaps. This role requires exceptional leadership, a masterly command of process design, and the ability to navigate deep ambiguity, drive executive consensus, and champion PMO best practices while mentoring junior or mid-level team members.
In This Role You Will
- Lead Strategic Discovery & Alignment
- Establish discovery frameworks and lead high-stakes alignment workshops with senior and executive stakeholders to diagnose root pain points and identify transformation opportunities.
- Actively challenge requests to ensure long‑term viability, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment with global business objectives.
- Own Enterprise Solution Design
- Define end‑to‑end functional architecture for complex, multi‑system integrations, data flows, and workflow automations.
- Oversee process improvements and system‑to‑system integrations, ensuring robust scalability and future‑proofing.
- Establish clear, rigorous acceptance criteria and business validation frameworks for high‑impact initiatives.
- Translate Vision into Actionable Engineering Roadmaps
- Produce industry‑standard documentation (comprehensive functional specs, traceability matrices, epics, and highly detailed user stories).
- Ensure requirements are structurally sound, dependency‑mapped, and ready for immediate, high‑velocity technical execution.
- Architect Process & Data Visualizations
- Design current‑state and optimized future‑state process maps (using BPMN 2.0 or similar standards) and conceptual data models to align cross‑functional teams.
- Leverage advanced data analysis and business intelligence to validate assumptions, build business cases, and measure post‑implementation value.
- Partner in PMO Strategy & Delivery
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers to scope initiatives, manage cross‑functional dependencies, assess risks, and drive strategic prioritization.
- Act as a key technical partner to developers and architects, clarifying complex logic and keeping execution aligned with business value.
- Establish Best Practices & Mentor the Team
- Champion, refine, and document business analysis standards, templates, and methodologies within the IT PMO.
- Mentor and coach junior to mid‑level business analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- Uphold Quality & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Design comprehensive, end‑to‑end UAT strategies and business‑scenario testing frameworks.
- Oversee or coordinate key business validation phases, ensuring delivered products meet rigorous operational expectations prior to release.
Experience You Already Have
- 5+ years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, with a strong track record of success in high‑growth, complex corporate or IT environments.
- Proven experience independently leading stakeholder management up to VP/C‑level, demonstrating strong executive presence and the ability to influence key decision‑makers.
- Strong background in designing functional architecture and complex integrations for enterprise‑scale platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Oracle NetSuite, Workday, or major BI platforms).
- Advanced expertise in requirements engineering, technical writing, agile frameworks, and managing backlog refinement at scale.
- Deep proficiency in modeling workflows and enterprise business processes using BPMN 2.0, UML, or advanced process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro, Visio).
- Solid analytical capability, including experience working with enterprise data, reporting tools, and relational concepts to drive decision‑making.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills in English (written and verbal), with a knack for clarifying complex technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
What We’re Looking For
- Autonomy & Ownership: A self‑starter who thrives on bringing structure to highly ambiguous, fast‑moving environments and takes pride in delivering end‑to‑end results.
- Strategic Thinker & Problem Solver: Someone who naturally focuses on business outcomes and scalability, avoiding short‑term "band‑aid" solutions.
- Consultative & Influence‑Driven Mindset: Ability to challenge the status quo constructively, build trusted‑advisor relationships, and drive consensus across divergent viewpoints.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: A supportive team player eager to uplift the PMO practice and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Big‑Picture Vision with Execution Rigor: Comfortable shifting fluidly between high‑level architectural planning and deep‑dive technical refinement.
We are an equal‑opportunity employer committed to building a respectful and empowering work environment for all people to freely express themselves amongst colleagues who embrace diversity in all respects. Including fresh voices and unique points of view in all aspects of our business not only creates an environment where we can all grow and thrive but also increases our potential to produce work that better represents—and resonates with—the world around us.
