Role Description The Assistant Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune District. The role involves supporting daily accounting activities such as recording sales and purchase entries, managing cash and bank transactions, and maintaining ledgers. The Assistant Accountant is expected to assist with invoice preparation, billing, and reconciliation of accounts, including vendor and customer balances.
The role includes helping with periodic stock-related accounting, preparing basic financial reports, and coordinating with the senior accountant for audits and compliance documentation. The Assistant Accountant will also work closely with store and operations staff to ensure accurate documentation, timely payments, and organized filing of financial records.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational accounting skills, including knowledge of journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and basic computer applications such as MS Excel and MS Word.
- Candidates should possess good numerical aptitude and attention to detail for handling cash, invoices, and daily transaction recording.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with store, vendors, and internal finance staff.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational skills for managing documents, filing records, and supporting audits.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field are beneficial.
- Prior experience in retail, stationery, or small business accounting is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune District and manage regular office hours is required.

- Minimum experience should be 2 years
