Job Description

Are you a curious recent graduate ready to start your career in research, knowledge management and payments?

Global Payments is seeking a curious and motivated recent graduate or early-career candidate to join its Strategic Insights team as a Knowledge Analyst. This UK-based role is designed for someone with little or no prior experience in payments or knowledge management, but with strong analytical instincts, excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will help the team organise, improve and share research, data and insights that support colleagues across the business and contribute to Global Payments’ ambition to become the largest and most-loved payments company in the world.

The Strategic Insights team is part of the Corporate Strategy under the COO function. Our small, diverse global team spans three continents and is responsible for providing primary and secondary research to all Global Payments’ business segments. We track and analyse industry and competitor trends, research, design and write signature thought leadership, manage access to external data, and share and facilitate access to an ever-expanding repository of knowledge and insights.

We’re a stable, positive, supportive team of long-term payment professionals who are thrilled to welcome a new team member.

This early-career Knowledge Analyst role is a highly visible opportunity to learn quickly, build practical skills and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced payments fintech. You will be based in the London office, but you will work closely with our team and colleagues from across Global Payments offices to improve how knowledge is created, sourced, organised and accessed. We do not expect you to arrive as an expert; we are looking for someone motivated, thoughtful and eager to develop.

With support and guidance from the team, your primary duties will include:

  • Research, identify and catalogue new content sources, and help develop simple plans for keeping information up to date
  • Help colleagues find relevant data and insights to support business questions.
  • Explore existing knowledge management sites and identify ways to improve how information is organised and accessed.
  • Work with team members and stakeholders across different lines of business to support the design and maintenance of a cross-functional knowledge platform.
  • Learn how to work with third-party software vendors and support improvements to site functionality and content management.
  • Support the integration of data and content from other departments.
  • Assist with site editorial activities, including gathering information that improves the usefulness and value of internal research tools.
  • Gather feedback from users to help improve site usability, functionality and overall experience.
  • Support data source tracking, contract administration and other related activities as you build your knowledge of the role.

What you bring:

We are looking for a recent university graduate or early-career candidate who can bring curiosity, structure and energy to the role. You do not need prior experience in payments research or knowledge management, but you should be able to demonstrate:

  • A strong interest in research, information management, strategy, business, technology or financial services.
  • The ability to search for, organise and summarise information clearly from different sources.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, with a willingness to learn SharePoint, industry data sources, AI tools and other internal platforms.
  • An organised and logical approach to classifying information, building simple structures and making content easy for others to find.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and proofreading ability.
  • The ability to take research findings and turn them into concise, easy-to-understand summaries.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the confidence to build positive working relationships with colleagues across teams, countries and cultures.
  • Flexibility, curiosity and the ability to manage several tasks while asking for guidance when needed.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, learning and meeting deadlines.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Coursework, internships, placements or projects related to research, business, data, libraries, information science, technology or financial services.
  • An interest in the payments industry and enthusiasm to develop sector expertise over time.
  • Experience using collaboration or content tools such as SharePoint, Teams, or similar platforms.
  • A questioning mindset and the confidence to check information carefully before relying on it.

What we offer you

  • A variety of career development tools, resources and opportunities
  • Structured support, coaching and on-the-job learning to help you build confidence in payments, research and knowledge management
  • The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in the payment industry
  • Opportunities to learn working alongside an experienced, dedicated and highly valued team.
  • Time to support charities and give back in your community
