A third‑generation family‑owned company, David Moss Corporation operates manufacturing facilities in Perth and Brisbane and employs over 100 staff in Western Australia, with the national head office located in Perth’s Northern Suburbs.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to lead our Fabrication Department and play a key role in the continued success of our manufacturing operations.

The Role

Based at our Neerabup manufacturing facility and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Fabrication Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of our Fabrication Department.

This is a senior operational leadership position with accountability for production performance, workforce capability, safety, quality, customer delivery, financial performance and continuous improvement across the fabrication function.

Working closely with Sales, Planning, Production, Quality, Maintenance and Logistics, you will ensure fabrication operations consistently deliver high-quality products safely, efficiently and on time while driving a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the overall performance of the Fabrication Department, ensuring production, quality, safety and delivery objectives are achieved.

Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the Fabrication Supervisor, Leading Hands and fabrication workforce.

Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership and compliance with WHS legislation, policies and procedures.

Work collaboratively with Sales, Planning, Procurement, Supply Chain and Quality to support customer outcomes and business objectives.

Oversee departmental budgets, operational costs and financial performance while supporting commercially sound decision making.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, efficiency and customer service.

Build a high‑performing team through effective leadership, accountability and employee development.

About You

You are an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives on developing people, improving operations and delivering results.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

Significant leadership experience within a fabrication, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.

Demonstrated success managing supervisors, leading hands and production teams.

Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, manufacturing operations and production planning.

Experience managing operational budgets, productivity, quality and safety performance.

Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance operational performance with customer expectations.

Formal management or leadership qualifications.

Trade qualification in Fabrication, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is highly desirable.
