Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and preparing periodic financial statements and reports. Responsibilities include overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and expense accounts, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting grant or project accounting as needed. The role will also involve ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, supporting audits, and helping maintain accurate documentation for regulatory and donor reporting.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area, working closely with program and operations teams to provide timely and reliable financial information.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets, along with the ability to analyze financial data and create clear reports.
• Knowledge of budgeting, cost tracking, and basic financial planning techniques relevant to nonprofit or research-focused organizations.
• Understanding of compliance requirements, such as local tax regulations, audit processes, and documentation standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain financial information clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in an accounting role, preferably within a nonprofit, research, or healthcare setting, is beneficial.
