Process Control Engineer

Your new company You will be joining one of Australia's largest underground mining operations and play a critical role in supporting and improving the operational technology systems that keep the site running safely, reliably and efficiently.

Your new role We are seeking an experienced Process Control Engineer with strong expertise in Rockwell PLCs, AVEVA Plant SCADA (Citect) and Cicode development to support a range of operational and improvement initiatives across processing and mining operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting and maintaining Rockwell ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLC systems.
• Developing, supporting and enhancing AVEVA Plant SCADA (Citect) applications.
• Developing and troubleshooting custom Cicode applications.
• Investigating and resolving complex PLC, SCADA, instrumentation and communication issues.
• Supporting commissioning, shutdowns and operational readiness activities.
• Driving process optimisation, reliability improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting control system upgrades, modifications and capital projects.
• Managing change control, documentation and engineering governance requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualification in Electrical, Automation, Control Systems or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in Process Control, Automation or Control Systems Engineering.
• Advanced experience with Rockwell ControlLogix and CompactLogix platforms.
• Advanced experience with AVEVA Plant SCADA (Citect).
• Demonstrated experience developing and supporting Cicode applications.
• Strong PLC programming, commissioning and fault-finding skills.
• Experience within mining, minerals processing, heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial communications protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus and OPC.
