Schedule

Day, Early morning, Morning, Evening, Night, Weekend. Overtime required and available.

Salary

$36.00 per hour; 30 to 60 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Load and unload goods
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold‑storage and other equipment
• Pay and receive payments for goods
• Perform brake adjustments and preventive maintenance
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high‑school) graduation certificate
• Experience: Experience an asset
• License: Class 3/3F/DF licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
• Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, trip reports
• Communication systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment
• Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check, driving record check (abstract)
• Transportation/travel: Drive manual‑transmission vehicle, valid driver’s licence
• Work conditions: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, large workload, physically demanding, weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player
