Job Description
- Managing accounting books and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, including IFRS.
- Preparing monthly tax calculations (CIT, WHT, VAT), annual tax returns, and statutory financial statements.
- Managing statutory reporting requirements, including GUS, NBP and coordinating external audits.
- Managing Intrastat reporting obligations and ensuring compliance with EU trade reporting requirements.
- Representing the company during tax audits and ensuring effective communication with tax authorities.
- Preparing monthly financial reporting packages for shareholders and consolidation purposes.
- Developing and maintaining internal accounting procedures and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Leading and developing the accounting team, including workload planning, task supervision, and providing substantive guidance and support to team members.
- Preparing financial analyses and business insights to support Management Board decision-making.
- Monitoring changes in accounting and tax regulations and assessing their impact on company processes.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting, with proven experience in a senior role such as Chief Accountant or Accounting Manager.
- Strong practical knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations (VAT, CIT, WHT) and experience in preparing statutory financial statements.
- Experience working in an international environment or within a capital group structure, including cooperation with foreign stakeholders and group reporting processes.
- Very good command of Polish and English (minimum B2 level), enabling effective communication and cooperation in an international working environment.
- Experience in managing an accounting team, including workload planning, delegation of tasks, performance supervision, and providing substantive guidance and support to team members.
- Experience in cooperation with external auditors, tax advisors, and external institutions (GUS, NBP, tax authorities).
- Strong proficiency in accounting systems; experience with Optima and/or SAP will be preferred
