Finance Business Analyst (Ottawa)

Job Description Type: 4-month contract, with potential for extension Location: Hybrid in Ottawa (proof of COVID-19 vaccination required) We are seeking a Finance Business Analyst for our client in Ottawa to support the planning of a digital transformation initiative. This role will be instrumental in gathering business requirements, analyzing current processes, and helping develop a business case and roadmap for future ERP implementation. The ideal candidate brings experience in finance-related functions, has strong analytical and communication skills, and thrives in fast-paced, change‑driven environments.

Responsibilities Analyze business processes to understand operational needs, identify gaps, and recommend improvements Collaborate with various teams (Finance, HR, Supply Chain, etc.) to support transformation planning activities Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather business requirements and contribute to system planning and solution design Assist with the testing and validation of ERP configurations and integrations, ensuring accuracy, usability, and regulatory compliance Support change management initiatives through training, user guides, and explicit process documentation Maintain up-to-date documentation of key processes and systems to support governance, compliance, and audit requirements Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance function or business systems role within a complex organization Experience supporting ERP initiatives, digital transformation projects, or business systems planning within finance functions Strong understanding of accounting standards, internal control frameworks, and financial operations Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across departments Proficient in analyzing data, writing clear documentation, and facilitating process improvements Comfortable navigating ambiguity with minimal supervision and balancing competing priorities under tight deadlines Education Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Working towards or completion of a CPA designation or MBA is considered an asset Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required as this is a hybrid position. #J-18808-Ljbffr
