Controller (Ahmedabad, India) Position Summary Sikich is seeking a Controller with 8+ years of accounting or audit experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in US GAAP general accounting, financial statement preparation or review/audit, and team management experience. The Controller will own oversee the month-end close and accounting processes of our clients.

This role is highly client-facing and requires close collaboration with U.S.-based engagement teams and executive client stakeholders. What will you do in this role? Own the monthly and annual close processes for assigned clients Own accuracy and completeness of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and client-specific policies.

In some instances, help clients implement accrual and GAAP practices Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations and actionable insights Support technical accounting topics, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), accruals, consolidations, complex transactions (Opening Balance Sheet review), etc. Serve as the primary accounting lead for a portfolio of clients across industries (e.G., SaaS, Fast Moving Consumer Goods, professional services, healthcare, etc.) Establish and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes Support audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors Own the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial reporting for assigned clients Advise clients on accounting policies, controls and process improvements Build strong relationships with U.S.-based clients, acting as a trusted advisor on accounting and financial matters Participate in regular client meetings (often overlapping U.S. time zones) to review financial results, address issues, and provide insights Manage and mentor a team of accountants that perform the day-to-day accounting Own quality and timeliness of all client deliverables and ensure adherence to quality and turnaround standards Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation within client engagements Collaborate with U.S.-based managers/directors to align on deliverables, timelines, and priorities What do you need to succeed in this role? Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and CA, CPA (US), MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification preferred, with demonstrated experience in U.S.

GAAP accounting. CPA (US) is a major plus. Strong understanding of US GAAP.

Managed team(s) having at least 10-20 team members. Prior experience in a Delivery Management role for a US based firm. Experience with U.S. accounting systems (e.G., NetSuite, QuickBooks, etc.) Knowledge of US accounting systems.

Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office. Organizational skills to manage a big team and strategic client engagements. Self-motivated with strong work ethic.

Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Leadership and team management skills.

Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges.
