Job Description
CentreCourt is seeking a Field Engineer to join the team supporting the delivery of 49 Ontario, a landmark purpose-built rental development located in downtown Toronto. The project will deliver over 1,200 residential units across two high-rise towers, helping address the growing demand for rental housing in the city’s core while contributing meaningful new supply to Toronto’s downtown housing market. This development represents an important addition to CentreCourt’s expanding platform of large-scale residential communities and reflects the company’s continued focus on delivering high-quality high-rise projects in transit‑oriented, amenity‑rich neighbourhoods across the Greater Toronto Area.
The Field Engineer reports directly to the Project Management and Site Superintendent teams to provide administrative, logistical, and operational support to ensure construction projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. This role is responsible for maintaining project documentation, supporting procurement and material tracking, coordinating site activities, monitoring project logs, and assisting with the day‑to‑day operations of a large‑scale high‑rise residential construction project. Key Responsibilities Project Administration & Documentation Maintain and organize project files, records, and correspondence.
Update and maintain project binders, drawings, specifications, permits, and site documentation. Order current construction drawings and revisions for project teams. Assist with document control processes, including tracking and filing RFIs, meeting minutes, and POs Ensure project records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
Gain exposure to all facets of the construction process from concrete/formwork to finishing Site Coordination & Reporting Support the Project Manager and Site Superintendent with daily administrative requirements. Assist with project scheduling, meeting coordination, and preparation of reports. Track project progress and provide updates as required.
Maintain site logs and reporting including water discharge logs, testing and commissioning logs, key logs, Permit Expiry Log (noise exemption, road closures), Formwork/Falsework inspection Logs Material Tracking & Procurement Update and maintain concrete placement logs and rebar tracking logs. Create and process purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures. Coordinate the procurement and delivery of project materials and supplies.
Order Division 1 (General Requirements) supplies required for project execution. Maintain all material logs including edge protection logs, equipment logs Site Office Management Order and maintain office supplies for the project site and project team. Organize and maintain a clean, efficient, and professional site office environment.
Manage filing systems, office equipment, and general administrative resources. Ensure site bulletin boards, binders, safety information, and project postings remain current. Health, Safety & Compliance Support Assist with maintaining site safety documentation and records.
Ensure required project documentation is readily available for audits and inspections. Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Track and Perform Worker Orientations and obtain training cards Assist with updating Safety Boards Candidate Qualifications Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field. 1-2 years of construction experience, preferably within high‑rise residential, commercial, or institutional construction.
Strong organizational, communication, and time‑management skills. Proficiency with MS Experience with Procore or other construction management software is considered an asset. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced construction environment.
