Our Team Our global, distributed team spans business development, sales, marketing, support, data science, software engineering, project management, finance, HR, and IT. We are hiring a Vancouver‑based FP&A Manager to join our crew. Position Overview FP&A Manager will partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and business leaders across all regions.

This Vancouver‑based hybrid role requires 9 am–5:30 pm weekdays, with occasional overtime. The manager will own core planning models, enhance monthly/quarterly reporting, support Board/Investor materials, and improve systems and processes. Strategic Planning, Forecasting & Financial Modeling Own and continuously improve the company’s integrated financial model, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, capex, headcount, cash flow, balance sheet, and liquidity planning.

Lead the consolidated annual budget process, coordinating assumptions, timelines, inputs, and review cycles with all lines of business and departments. Manage monthly and quarterly forecasting, including forecast‑to‑actual bridges, risk and opportunity tracking, and clear commentary on key business drivers. Build driver‑based forecasts and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions, resource allocation, financing, M&A, hiring, pricing, and investment prioritization.

Serve as a finance power user and administrator for Workday Adaptive Insights, including model maintenance, planning workflows, reporting, dashboards, data integrity, and user support. Partner closely with Accounting to ensure consistency between accounting policies and their application in financial models, forecasts, and budgets. Review key accounting policies quarterly and incorporate any changes into planning assumptions and reporting outputs.

Financial Analysis, Reporting & Executive Materials Prepare monthly and weekly management reporting packages for leadership, including KPIs, variance analysis, trend reporting, risks, opportunities, and management commentary. Prepare Board‑ready monthly and quarterly reporting materials that distill complex financial and operational data into clear, decision‑useful narratives. Support investor, lender, and due diligence reporting with accurate financial analysis, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Partner with Accounting during month‑end and quarter‑end close to validate actual results, explain variances, review accruals, and ensure consistency between management reporting and financial statements. Support audit requests including goodwill impairment models and going‑concerning forecasts, investor relations materials, project reporting, and special project presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Prepare scenario, sensitivity, and ad‑hoc analyses to support corporate priorities and management decision‑making.

Business Partnering & Performance Management Partner with department heads and business leaders to develop budgets, rolling forecasts, KPIs, and operating plans. Support budget owners in understanding budget‑to‑actual performance, forecast risks, and resource trade‑offs. Translate operational activity into financial outcomes and provide practical recommendations to improve performance, accountability, and forecast accuracy.

Help build discipline around spend, headcount, project costs, pipeline, backlog, margins, and operating metrics. IPO Readiness Prepare for SEC reporting processes in the event of an IPO transaction (10‑K, 10‑Q, MD&A). Partner with Investor Relations on preparing earnings materials, guidance, and external messaging.

Establish disciplined reporting cadence aligned with public company timelines. Define and govern KPIs used in external reporting. Support SOX compliance through documentation and control design of FP&A processes.

Ensure data integrity and reconciliation across systems used for external reporting. Contribute to IPO readiness, including S‑1 support and reporting infrastructure. Corporate Finance & Strategic Initiatives Support M&A, valuation, financing, and strategic transaction analysis as needed.

Provide due diligence support, including financial analysis, data‑room materials, reconciliations, and management presentation support. Contribute to ad‑hoc management and Board presentations, including analysis of strategic alternatives, capital allocation, and investment priorities. Business Operations, Systems & Process Improvement Support pricing, costing, project economics, and grant proposal analysis.

Improve integrations and reporting between NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Insights, Excel‑based models, and other finance or operational systems. Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting, reduce manual work, improve data integrity, and strengthen planning controls. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.

CPA designation required; CFA, MBA, CBV, or equivalent analytical background an asset. 5–8 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, or strategic finance experience, ideally in a complex, multi‑entity, multi‑currency, technology, SaaS, aerospace, geospatial, data/analytics, or project‑based environment. Skill Toolkit Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, including integrated three‑statement modeling, scenario analysis, and driver‑based planning. Strong analytical judgment, with the ability to distinguish material business drivers from noise and translate analysis into practical recommendations.

Experience with ERP, planning, reporting, and business analytics tools; Workday Adaptive Insights and NetSuite experience are strong assets. Experience working in multi‑entity or multi‑currency environments. Practical knowledge of US GAAP and experience with accounting matters such as revenue recognition, acquisitions, impairments, financial instruments, capitalization, and management reporting concepts.

Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders and senior leaders. Strong data discipline, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, initiative, and ability to work effectively across teams.

Comfortable using AI and automation tools to improve analysis, reporting, and productivity while maintaining appropriate review controls. Bonus: Space, aerospace, satellite, geospatial, earth observation, data/analytics, or complex technology industry experience. Experience with NetSuite ERP, Workday Adaptive Insights, Power BI, Salesforce/CRM, Maxio, Tipalti, FloQast, or similar finance and operational systems.

Prior exposure to high‑growth, scale‑up, financing, M&A, IPO‑readiness, public‑company reporting, investor reporting, or lender reporting environments. Compensation Base Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 CAD annually (Vancouver, BC). The range depends on experience and qualifications; the top end is reserved for individuals who meet or exceed all required qualifications.
