Manager Store (Vancouver)

Store Manager – Safeway Vancouver, BC Embark on a rewarding career with Sobeys Inc. at Safeway. We are looking for a Store Manager to provide strategic direction, manage all facets of store operations, and deliver exceptional customer and employee experiences for a location at 4908 Robson, Vancouver. Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and vision for the store and communicate it to the team.

Ensure operational excellence in retail merchandising, inventory management, employee engagement, and customer engagement and relations. Coach and develop the store team to provide superior customer service and achieve budgeted financial results. Create a coaching and development culture for all store employees.

Oversee total store talent management: recruitment, succession planning, orientation, training, performance management, and compensation. Ensure communication of operational requirements/changes and store vision to the entire store. Understand and respond to local market needs and competition.

Execute the retail commercial program and provide feedback and recommendations. Model, coach, and reinforce customer service expectations on a daily basis. Ensure community presence by working with partners to host or support community events.

Create a shopping experience that enhances loyalty, sales, and profit. Execute winning conditions as required. Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and procedures, OH&S, food safety, and other regulatory requirements.

Participate with local store marketing to identify and capitalize on opportunities within the store/market. Maintain efficient operation to achieve financial targets and KPIs. Coordinate maintenance of store equipment and repairs.

Qualifications High School Diploma. Three to five years of experience as a Department Manager. Above average oral and written communication skills.

Full knowledge of retail operations across a total store. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of SAP.

Compensation Salary range in British Columbia and Alberta: $90,666.00 - $125,000.00 . Salary is varied based on location, experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
