Accounting Manager

Job Description HUB International is hiring an Accounting Manager to support our Canadian operations. This newly created position focuses on mitigating business risks by ensuring compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, contractual agreements, and external regulations. The role reports to the VP, Canada Divisional Controller and works closely with internal and external auditors, management teams and the executive suite.

Responsibilities Manage and coordinate accounting teams across Canada. Oversee month‑end deliverables both locally and corporately. Maintain and implement internal and SOX controls.

Coordinate with internal and external audit parties. Perform in‑house reviews and audits to ensure team adherence to policy. Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.

Liaise with operations and executive management for finance‑related inquiries. Maintain and distribute financial and operational reporting and analysis. Work with the business management system to address transaction processing.

Provide ad‑hoc financial and operational analysis for business decisions. Research and communicate key variances in financial metrics. Improve existing and implement new reporting as requested.

Manage merger and acquisition financial aspects. Implement procedural changes to improve workflows and increase efficiency. Ensure compliance with corporate finance requirements.

Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred. 5+ years of experience, preferably with a nationally recognized public accounting or insurance brokerage firm. Strong project management across multiple concurrent projects.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage multiple priorities. Change management and people skills.

Location Hybrid role located in Woodbridge or Oakville, Ontario. Compensation Base salary range: $95,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience, location and business line.
