Construction & Engineering Plant Maintenance Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $47.24 - $56.69 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Manager, Facilities is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and operations of the Marshall’s physical infrastructure and providing management, supervision and program oversight to Marshall’s Engineering program. This role ensures that the facility is compliant with all regulatory standards and provides a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position manages, leads, coordinates, monitors, and reports on buildings status for all buildings owned or operated by Marshall (HOSPITAL, Off-site Facilities).
The incumbent facilitates quality control, maintenance building systems, schedules, and owner representative responsibilities with respect to construction project activities. In support of the Facilities Executive Director, this role acts as a liaison between all internal and external stakeholders, regulatory agencies (City of Placerville, County of El Dorado County, State and Federal agencies). The facilities manager is responsible for the maintenance of the grounds and manages internal staff and external contractors in the performance of landscape services.
Associate’s degree in a related engineering field plus 4 years’ experience or 6 years of experience in hospital facilities management, plant operation, engineering or maintenance supervisor required. College degree in a related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program, or technical trade school preferred. CHFM Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, CPMM Certified Plant Maintenance Manager, CFM Certified Facility Manager or other relevant certifications, a plus.
Experience: Basic knowledge of HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation required. CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) - AIMS required, and Building Automation System (BAS- Siemens, Alerton preferred). Knowledge in the management of personnel relative to performance and conduct.
Familiarity with regulations, codes and standards for facilities management required. Skills: Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including report writing ability. Computer proficiency with MS Office and Outlook email, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Bluebeam Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as team skills to ensure appropriate communication and coordination across project delivery team, affiliate and vendors.
Strong client relationship management skills to maintain positive relations with stakeholders and executive leadership. Demonstration of leadership ability, including the management and delegation of appropriate tasks to technical and non-technical support staff. *Candidates must possess and supply proof of: a current CA Driver’s License, a clean DMV printout and Auto Insurance coverage with a minimum of $50,000 per person/$100,000 per occurrence (or a combined single limit of $100,000) and property damage coverage in an amount not less than $50,000 per occurrence.
