New Business Development Promotion Planner Manager/ Senior Manager Japanese/English Bilingual New Business Development Promotion Planner Manager / Senior Manager Summary Our client, a growing multi-entertainment company, is hiring a New Business Development Promotion Planner Manager / Senior Manager due to continued expansion. This is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of new business initiatives, promotional programs, licensed partnerships, and revenue-generating projects across the company. We are looking for a hands‑on leader who can track complex timelines, manage budgets, negotiate with vendors and licensors, and seamlessly bridge communication between internal departments and external partners in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Lead Initiative Execution: Support and oversee multiple concurrent new business initiatives, tracking project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies. Merchandise Selection & Procurement: Identify, source, and evaluate high‑quality promotional products that fit brand image, campaign themes, and target audience preferences. Vendor & Licensor Negotiations: Negotiate costs, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors and Japanese/global licensors to maximize profit margins.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary liaison, collaborating with Marketing, Operations, Logistics, Finance, and store teams to sync promotional calendars. Pop-Culture Integration: Incorporate culturally relevant and trending anime, mobile, PC, and console gaming properties into product offerings. Budgeting & Performance Analysis: Track sales performance, monitor ROI on promotional items, manage purchase orders/invoices, and generate detailed sales reports for internal stakeholders and external licensors.

Working style Hybrid. Hybrid work style after 90‑day probation. Work style may vary based on supervisor assignment and is subject to change depending on management’s needs.

Woking Location Cerritos, CA Salary/Benefit $76-91K (exempt) Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. 5+ years of experience in buying, merchandising, or procurement, preferably in the retail, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
