Job Description

Overview Our client is a global healthcare technology and consulting company headquartered in Mumbai, India, with operations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Founded in 2005, it specializes exclusively in the healthcare and life sciences industry. What’s in It for You?

We are looking for a Principal Engineer who has grown through hands-on engineering experience someone who still enjoys writing code, actively debugs production issues, and thrives on solving complex technical challenges. In this role, you will serve as the technical anchor for a high-impact Healthcare AI engagement, partnering closely with a deeply hands-on client engineering leadership team. This is an opportunity to influence technical direction, solve meaningful problems, and build innovative AI-powered healthcare solutions from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end technical delivery of a Healthcare AI platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , from system design through production deployment. Lead by example through hands-on development—write production-quality code, conduct code reviews, and establish engineering best practices. Evaluate, prototype, and drive AI/ML solutions for clinical workflows, identifying high-value opportunities and translating them into scalable implementations.

Make key architecture decisions across microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, data flows, and integration patterns. Mentor and coach engineering teams by working alongside them, setting high technical standards through hands-on leadership. Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, acting as the technical face of the engagement and translating clinical and business requirements into robust engineering solutions.

Location Nashville, TN, or Remote (Candidates should be willing to travel periodically to client locations across the United States.) Educational Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc). Technical certifications across multiple technologies are an added advantage. Required Skills & Experience 10–18 years of software engineering experience, including recent experience at the Principal, Staff Engineer, or Senior Technical Lead level.

Strong hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying Java and/or Python microservices on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . Experience working with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) for containerized application deployment and workload management. Expertise in event-driven architectures using Kafka or Google Cloud Pub/Sub for real-time data processing.

Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-grade code with strong unit, integration, and contract testing practices. Proven experience building systems from the ground up rather than primarily maintaining existing applications. Passion for remaining hands-on with coding while driving architectural decisions.

Experience working within regulated industries such as Healthcare, FinTech, or Government . Ability to collaborate directly with client stakeholders to understand clinical workflows and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Demonstrated success in mentoring and elevating engineers through technical leadership and collaboration rather than formal people management.

Candidates based in the Eastern (EST) or Central (CST) time zones are strongly preferred. What Makes This Opportunity Different? Work alongside a client engineering team that is as hands-on as you are—this is a true engineering partnership, not a traditional vendor engagement.

Influence technical direction with meaningful ownership over architecture and engineering decisions. Solve challenging problems involving clinical data at scale, real-time treatment workflows, and AI integration within a regulated healthcare environment. Build innovative systems from the ground up instead of maintaining legacy platforms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
