About The Role Hippo is a rapidly growing digital consultancy passionate about building and delivering transformative digital solutions for a diverse range of public and private sector clients. Senior Business Analysts with expertise in user‑centred design are recruited to support our mission at the intersection of strategy, design and technology. Your Role in a Nutshell Work with designers to create and test early versions of products, ensuring they solve user problems.

Lead on the creation of visual maps such as user journeys and process flows to understand the current landscape and provide actionable recommendations. Translate user research findings into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Lead workshops and collaborative sessions with teams and clients to align on goals and solutions.

Build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders and support them in developing knowledge of user‑centred design best practice. Collaborate with Product Owners and Delivery Managers to establish and manage a prioritised backlog. Identify and apply the best Agile processes for projects, measuring outcomes effectively.

Coach and mentor colleagues and shape Hippo’s BA community of practice. Essential Experience Expertise in business analysis within a user‑centred design environment. Proven ability to work well with designers, influence research planning, and question research methods.

Familiarity with service design standards such as the Government Digital Service (GDS) standards or equivalents. Experience gathering requirements using various methods and selecting the most appropriate one for the project. Ability to analyse data from different sources, including website analytics and research findings, to help others make decisions.

Experience planning, running and adjusting Agile ways of working for projects. Desirable Experience Experience managing work by focusing on client needs and writing clear proposals. Ability to help set project goals and ensure all work contributes to achieving them.

Track record of contributing to professional groups and offering feedback to others. Candidates must be located within reasonable travel distance from one of our offices and may be required to work on‑site at a Hippo office or at client locations for at least two days per week, depending on project needs. Hippo offers a relocation support package of up to £8,000.
