Principal Project Controls Engineer

Job Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Controls Engineer Specialist to join our team. In this role you will work with a team of professionals on major water infrastructure in southern Nevada. What You’ll Be Doing Support a major water project in Southern Nevada by working with a multi‑disciplined team of professionals.

Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) and typically 10+ years of related work experience. Managing data quality and validation by monitoring schedule, budget, funding, and schedule through the project life cycle. Providing schedule, budget, funding and commitment management.

Evaluating capital program and project performance and compliance with established business processes to support consistent and efficient project delivery. Providing guidance for the resolution of difficult project control problems involving schedule and cost control process management. Customizing project control systems and processes to meet specific project requirements related to budget and schedule needs.

Desired Skills Previous experience with eBuilder or Trimble is a bonus. Ability to work with all levels of the project team. Must possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on a project.

Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities and impact of project execution (high proficiency). Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction‑related processes and industry practices. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and competency with project management information systems and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction.
