Project Engineering Manager

Role Overview Job Title: Project Engineering Manager Location: Walsall, West Midlands Compensation: From £46,000 dependent on experience + benefits Role Type: Full time / Permanent Role ID: SF72579 Responsibilities Lead and manage the engineering function across allocated projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost and quality Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams, customers and suppliers Ensure engineering compliance with legal, regulatory and safety requirements Coach, mentor and develop engineers to build capability and performance Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies and design trade‑offs Essential Experience System-level engineering experience with vehicle integration Experience defining requirements, specifications and system architecture Designing for manufacturability, cost, weight and reliability Understanding testing, validation and homologation processes Proven team and people management experience Qualifications Problem‑solving and root cause analysis (8D, A3, Ishikawa, 5‑Why) Knowledge of automotive systems (powertrain, chassis, body, E/E, ADAS, thermal, or interiors) Knowledge of CAD/CAE tools and engineering documentation Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
