Senior Engineering Manager – Integrated Platforms Location: Richardson, TX. Role Type: Onsite. U.S. citizenship required.
Active Secret clearance required. Responsibilities Lead a team of software engineers through design, development and documentation of software engineering plans for large complex systems Attract, engage and retain a team of 10–15 software engineers to build critical software applications for a NO FAIL mission Perform hiring decisions, performance assessment, and personnel management for technical staff members Coordinate across engineering teams in the integration of large complex systems, utilizing automation and simulation tools Plan project‑level work and meet schedule, cost, and performance goals Manage program technical risks by evaluating requirements and design aspects Interact with a cross‑functional team, including Engineers, Engineering leaders, Program Managers, Business Developers, Finance, Quality, and Production Serve as a liaison between functional discipline groups and internal and external customers Review bids and proposals Required Qualifications Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of Software Engineers, including hiring and staffing programs Effective communication skills with all levels of management, program team members, and external stakeholders Project Management, Control Account Management (CAM), and earned value experience Active and transferable Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date Typically requires a STEM degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 7 years of experience; in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications Experience leading software teams on DoD programs Experience developing embedded software for military airborne platforms Working knowledge of bidding and project/task estimation tools (e.g., SEER‑SEM products) Experience with peer review, configuration, and change management processes Participation in root cause analysis and corrective actions Experience with model‑based systems engineering and modeling practices Experience working in an Agile development environment Familiarity with on‑air and on‑ground communications systems Experience using SEER‑SEM, Cameo, JIRA, or similar software development tools Experience with regulatory and certification requirements Equal Opportunity Employer RTX is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
