Job Description

1. Role ER&D Sales Leader – Networks/ Semiconductors / Software Product Engineering 2. Required Technical & Domain Skill Set ER&D / Engineering Services Sales expertise with strong focus on Networks (Telecom, Networking Equipment, 5G/Edge), Semiconductors, and Software Products .

Proven track record of owning and delivering revenue growth targets in large, complex ER&D engagements. Strong industry relationships with Tier‑1 and Tier‑2 customers across: Networking & Telecom OEMs / ISVs Semiconductor companies (Fabless, IDM, Equipment vendors) Software Product companies (Platforms, Embedded & Systems software, Enterprise/Industrial software) Ability to engage credibly with customer CXOs, CTOs, Heads of Engineering, R&D and Product Leaders . Experience selling end‑to‑end ER&D services including product engineering, platform engineering, sustenance, and digital engineering. 3.

Number of Positions 2 4. Desired Experience 15+ years in ER&D / Engineering Services sales, with increasing responsibility in large‑deal pursuit and account leadership. 5. Location Bangalore or Hyderabad Desired Competencies Must‑Have Competencies Ability to build and expand strategic customer relationships and influence large deal decisions.

Strong consultative selling mindset —shaping customer roadmaps rather than responding to RFPs. Ability to work seamlessly with delivery, resourcing, CoEs, alliances and partner ecosystem to ramp and scale programs. Solid understanding of ER&D value chains , including: Networks : Protocol stacks, embedded systems, network management, cloud‑native networking, 5G/Edge.

Semiconductors : Silicon engineering, embedded software, firmware, validation, post‑silicon, and system integration. Software Products : Product lifecycle management, platform engineering, cloud/SaaS, DevOps, sustenance and modernization. Strong capability in building, grooming and leading a sales team .

Excellent stakeholder management, executive communication and analytical skills. Good‑to‑Have Competencies Hands‑on background or prior exposure to engineering, product development or system architecture . Experience creating and leveraging partner ecosystems (hyperscalers, EDA/tool vendors, silicon partners, ISVs).

Understanding of industry trends (AI‑led engineering, cloud‑native products, disaggregated networks, digital twins, platformization). Exposure to ER&D strategy formulation , business plans and GTM roadmaps. Experience guiding BDMs / Sales Managers and supporting large pursuits.

Exposure to commercial constructs including SOWs, MSAs and large multi‑year deals. Role Description / Expectations Expand existing strategic accounts and identify new ER&D growth opportunities across Networks, Semiconductors and Software Products. Identify and establish new logos in target ER&D segments.

Deliver consistently against annual and multi‑year sales targets . Collaborate with Presales, Solutions, CoEs and Delivery teams to create differentiated customer propositions. Engage confidently and consistently at senior leadership levels within customer organizations.

Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive market engagement, thought leadership and networking. Work closely with Hiring, Resourcing, Delivery and Partner teams to ensure timely ramp‑up and execution. Leverage market intelligence, competitive insights and industry trends to refine sales strategy and influence offerings.

Drive account‑level ER&D strategy aligned to customer product roadmaps. Act as a trusted advisor to customers on engineering transformation and product innovation. Role Details (Candidate Briefing) Reporting To: Segment / Business Head Team Size: Ability to lead and mentor a small to mid‑sized ER&D sales team On‑site Opportunity: Not immediate, but possible based on account needs Unique Selling Proposition (USP): Strategic ER&D growth role with the opportunity to shape TCS’ presence in Networks, Semiconductors and Software Products .
