Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolhapur for a Senior Design Engineer – API 16A Equipment (Blow-Out Preventers).

The Senior Design Engineer will lead the design and development of blow-out preventer (BOP) equipment and related components in accordance with API 16A and other relevant standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed engineering designs, 3D models, and drawings; performing design calculations; and reviewing specifications to ensure safety, reliability, and manufacturability. The role involves collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, supporting design reviews, addressing design-related production issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Senior Design Engineer will also support documentation, compliance activities, and technical communication with internal stakeholders and customers as needed. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills with demonstrated experience in product design for high-pressure or safety-critical equipment. Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering knowledge, including materials, stress analysis, and manufacturing processes relevant to machined and forged components.

Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar 3D/2D design software. Candidates should possess an understanding of Electrical Engineering principles where applicable to integrated equipment and control systems. Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree or specialization in oil and gas equipment design is an advantage.

Experience with API 16A and other oil and gas industry standards, and prior work on blow-out preventers or similar pressure control equipment is highly beneficial.
