This is a unique hybrid role that sits at the intersection of group underwriting expertise and process innovation, ideal for a senior underwriter who has naturally gravitated toward training others, improving tools, and driving consistency across a team. As the Senior Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, you will lead documentation, process, and training initiatives that directly shape how the underwriting team operates day to day.

This is not a traditional pricing role, it’s an opportunity to step into a position of broader organizational influence while staying close to the technical work you know well. What You'll Be Doing Lead and implement best practice initiatives across the group underwriting function Design and facilitate training programs for underwriting staff at all experience levels, from entry-level through senior Conduct quality reviews of complex underwriting cases and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Maintain, improve, and support a suite of underwriting tools, templates, and calculators Perform user acceptance testing (UAT) when tools and systems are updated Release the monthly internal underwriting bulletin as required Act as a liaison with internal partners including Finance, IT, and operational teams Contribute to and lead internal mini-projects as required Support and mentor the Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst What You Bring Post-secondary diploma or degree in business administration, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or a related field 5+ years of progressive group underwriting experience, including exposure to various funding arrangements A solid understanding of customer needs, underwriting processes, and how they connect to the broader business Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and make practical recommendations Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to adapt messaging for different audiences Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously High degree of initiative, accountability, and follow-through GBA designation is considered an asset Bilingualism in French and English is required What's On Offer Base salary up to $100, 000, commensurate with experience Short-term incentive plan 4 weeks vacation Employer-paid health and dental benefits from day one Registered Pension Plan (RPP) + RRSP 8 paid sick days + 3 paid personal/family days Benefits Fully remote with optional in-office access
