Operations Manager

The Role: Operations Manager / Contract Manager Location: Birmingham / West Midlands Salary: £60,000–£67,000 plus excellent benefits Experienced Operations Manager required to lead large-scale frontline service teams across a busy, high-profile contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong operational leader who thrives in a fast-moving, people-focused role. You will be responsible for driving consistency, improving deployment, supporting frontline managers and ensuring essential services are delivered effectively across the region.

The Role: Lead and support a team of Operational Supervisors overseeing a large frontline workforce. Manage day-to-day operational delivery across all services. Make key judgement calls around priorities, scheduling, deployment and reactive service demands.

Drive consistency, performance and accountability across a large unionised workforce. Support planning and improvement activity in a challenging, high-volume operational environment. The Ideal Candidate: Strong operations management/ Contract Management experience leading large frontline or field-based teams.

Excellent man-management, leadership and decision-making skills. Background in street running complex operations, waste, FM, environmental services, logistics, transport, military or similar operational environments. Confident working with reactive priorities, workforce planning and operational deployment.

Resilient, consistent and able to lead effectively in a unionised or complex workforce setting.
