Job Description
Infosys BPM is looking for a dynamic and self-driven Bid Manager responsible for leading end-to-end bid management and proposal development for strategic deals. This role plays a critical part in winning new business by coordinating cross-functional teams, shaping compelling value propositions, and ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals aligned to client requirements. Role Designation - Bid Manager Location of posting: Bangalore/Pune/Gurgaon Key Responsibilities 1.
Bid Strategy & Governance Own the end-to-end bid lifecycle from qualification to submission and deal closure support Collaborate with Sales, Solution Design, Delivery, and Commercial teams to define win strategy Drive bid qualification using frameworks (e.g., deal scoring, win probability, strategic fit) Establish governance, timelines, and milestones for each bid 2. Proposal Development & Management Lead the creation of RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and presentations Ensure alignment of proposals with client objectives, competitive positioning, and differentiators Develop executive summaries, value propositions, and win themes Maintain consistency, quality, and compliance across all proposal artifacts 3. Stakeholder & Team Coordination Act as the central point of contact across cross-functional teams (Sales, SMEs, Delivery, Finance, Legal) Facilitate solution workshops, review calls, and bid discussions Manage internal stakeholders to ensure timely inputs and alignment Drive senior stakeholder engagement and approvals 4.
Commercial & Compliance Management Work closely with finance/commercial teams to structure pricing and commercial models Ensure proposals comply with client RFP requirements, legal policies, and internal standards Support contract negotiations and align bid commitments with delivery capabilities 5. Content & Knowledge Management Maintain and enhance proposal repositories, templates, and reusable content Leverage best practices, case studies, and benchmarks to strengthen proposals Drive continuous improvement in proposal quality, turnaround time, and win rates 6. Bid Analytics & Reporting Track bid pipeline, conversion rates, and performance metrics Conduct win/loss analysis to refine future bid strategies Provide insights to leadership on deal trends and improvement areas Skills & Competencies Core Skills Strong bid management and proposal writing expertise Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to work under pressure with multiple parallel deadlines Strong analytical and structuring skills Functional Skills Understanding of presales, solutioning, and pricing models Familiarity with RFP processes and contract structures Expertise in tools such as MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and collaboration platforms Behavioral Competencies High ownership and accountability Detail-oriented with a focus on quality Strong collaboration and influencing skills Ability to operate in a fast-paced, ambiguity-driven environment Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred) 6–15 years of experience in bid management / presales / proposal management Experience in BPM, Consulting, Outsourcing industries Proven track record of supporting large, complex, multi-tower deals Regards Infosys BPM Talent Acquisition team
