Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine (Neurorehabilitation) - Ireland

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine to join one of Ireland's leading specialist rehabilitation hospitals in Dublin in a permanent substantive Consultant post . This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a brand-new Neurorehabilitation Servic e and help shape the future of specialist neurological rehabilitation. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

The Neurorehabilitation Unit is a dedicate d 12-bed inpatient servi ce, providing intensive rehabilitation for adults with acquired neurological disabilities and progressive neurological conditions, with a focus on maximising independence and functional recovery. The Role This role combines clinical practice with service leadership. The successful candidate will lead the Neurorehabilitation Service, support its ongoing development, manage adults with complex neurological conditions, and contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement and multidisciplinary working.

Requirements Be registered, or eligible for Specialist Registr ation with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in Rehabilitation Medicine Ho ld a CCT, CSCST, or equivalent specialist qualific ation in Rehabilitation Medicine Have experience managing adults with complex neurological and rehabilitation needs Have expertise in neurorehabilitation, including acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and progressive neurological disorder Demonstrate experience working within and leading multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams. What We Offer The current Consultant salary ranges from €238,221 to €286,151 for a 37-hour week, with any additional work paid separately. The package also inc ludes €12,000 annual CPD f un ding, €8,000 innovation f unding, generous annual and study leave, and a public pension scheme.
