This is a key role within the commercial team, offering the opportunity to lead pre-contract activity, influence commercial strategy, and play a pivotal role in securing high-value projec ts. Key Responsibili tiesSupport the pre-construction team in developing commercially competitive tenders and propo salsLead and support the negotiation of contract terms and conditions with Tier 1 contractors, Tier 2 partners, and major housebuil dersProvide commercial input into value engineering options and alternative technical solut ionsReview tender documentation, identifying key commercial risks and opportuni tiesCollaborate with estimating, engineering, and operational teams throughout bid st agesBuild and maintain strong client and contractor relationships at early project ph asesContribute to pricing strategies, cost plans, and bid submiss ionsSupport the handover of secured projects into delivery, ensuring clear commercial align ment Key Require mentsExperience in a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial role within construction, civils, ground engineering, or specialist subcontra ctingSt rong pre-contract exper ience, including tendering, commercial review, and negoti ationProven experience negotia ting T&Cs with Tier 1 contractors and/or major housebui ldersGood understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, JCT)Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence decision-making at early s tagesExcellent communication and stakeholder management s killsDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (or equivalent experi ence)RICS (or working towards) is advanta geous What’s on OfferOpportunity to join a well-established, market-leading specialist cont ractorKey role within a collaborative and technically strong pre-constructio n teamExposure to major UK projects and blue-chip c lientsStrong pipeline of secured and upcomin g work
