Principal Mechanical Engineer

Principal Mechanical Engineer - London Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to step into a Senior position, and play a key part in in the growth of an expanding M&E team within an International, Engineering and Design Consultancy. Location: London Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 + Package benefits Job Description: The Resolute Group is working in partnership with an International, Engineering and Design Consultancy to assist with expanding their M&E Team who focus on Data Centre Projects. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and project teams to develop mechanical designs for data center construction projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.

Develop detailed diagrams of mechanical installations and coordinate with other disciplines to allocate initial space reservations for equipment and infrastructure. Utilize 3D Revit/BIM software to model mechanical installations based on diagrams and coordinated space reservations, ensuring accuracy and compatibility with other building systems. Address any design challenges or modifications during the construction phase, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to project timelines Actively participate in design reviews and project meetings, providing input and feedback to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of mechanical systems.

Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations related to mechanical engineering and data centre construction, incorporating best practices into project designs and processes. Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability in all aspects of mechanical engineering (design and construction). Experience: A Bachelor and/or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Ideally 5+ years relevant work experience within the construction industry Experience with Revit / CAD software PLEASE NOTE You need to be living and eligible to work in England to be suitable for this position.
