Design Engineer

We're Hiring | Executive – Design (Healthcare) Location: Hosur Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical/Product Design or related discipline) Experience: 3–7 Years Nilkamal Edge is looking for a talented Executive – Design (Healthcare) to join our Design & Development team. Key Responsibilities Design and develop innovative healthcare products using SolidWorks . Create 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation. Perform design calculations, feasibility studies, and material selection. Apply GD&T, DFM, and DFA principles to optimize product design and manufacturability. Support prototype development, product testing, validation, and production handover. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and Sales to ensure successful product development. Maintain PLM documentation and process SKU/code creation. Support product costing, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Review customer specifications and tender requirements to recommend effective technical solutions. Desired Candidate Profile ✔️ 3–7 years of experience in Mechanical/Product Design and Development. ✔️ Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory). ✔️ Experience in preparing manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation. ✔️ Working knowledge of GD&T, DFM, DFA , and product validation processes. ✔️ Experience in medical furniture, healthcare equipment, modular furniture, office furniture, or manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.
