Mechanical Estimator Trainee

We’re looking for a Mechanical Estimator to support tendering for building services projects. This role suits someone coming off the tools who wants to move into an office-based estimating career. Essential Background: Previously worked as a Plumber, Gas Engineer, or HVAC Engineer Looking to transition into an estimating role Experience or strong understanding of mechanical materials take-offs Solid knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, pipework, plant) Key Responsibilities: Produce or support mechanical take-offs, costings, and tenders Interpret drawings and specifications Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotes Assist with cost planning and value engineering Requirements: Practical mechanical/MEP experience (on the tools) Good numerical and organisational skills Basic IT skills (Excel) Ability to learn and develop in estimating Training and development will be provided depending on experience level.
