Our client, a manufacturing company based in Montreal , is seeking a Systems Engineer for a permanent position. Position Summary : As a Systems Engineer, you will design, integrate, and manage complex technological infrastructures. You will bridge business objectives and technical execution by overseeing hardware, software, and networks to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security across multiple products.

You will also work in a dynamic, hands-on environment, collaborating closely with our engineering team to design, develop, and improve tracked vehicles, products, or specialized power-generating equipment designed for extreme conditions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, knowledge of electrical and software engineering, as well as demonstrated manufacturing experience, and is motivated to transform ideas into practical solutions. You will be part of a team that pushes capabilities in demanding environments, delivering specialized equipment that industries across North America rely on for safety, performance, and availability.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for, among other things, the following : Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Architect and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available complete solutions System Maintenance & Monitoring: Monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of availability and performance Troubleshooting & Debugging: Diagnose and resolve complex system errors, hardware failures, or other issues in a timely manner Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers from all fields and support to integrate new parts or new technologies and maintain system reliability Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations and operational procedures Leadership: Lead complex design projects, train other engineers and technicians, and represent the company in industry workshops or professional societies Compliance & Reputation: Ensure all extreme-condition vehicles comply with North American government regulations and industry safety standards Escalation Point Handle high-level customer technical issues and provide advanced troubleshooting Plan for each project at hand Assist in technical design and new prototypes Evaluates systems and products by designing and conducting research programs Develops products by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations Maintains system and product data base by entering data Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Carrying out additional responsibilities as required To be considered for this opportunity, the following requirements must be met : Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. More than 10 years of relevant experience. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Commitment to meeting deadlines and ensuring the efficiency of engineering activities. Availability to travel when required. Proficiency in both French and English is required, as the successful candidate will collaborate with clients outside Quebec, both verbally and in writing.
