Job Description
Overview We are looking to expand a Data Protection Analyst in a cross‑functional team focused on maintaining security infrastructure, providing stability through policies, processes and procedures, supporting RBC’s growth and adopting emerging technologies. Responsibilities Proactively investigate and perform operational enhancements, support and protection efforts. Communicate with internal areas at all reporting levels.
Collaborate with data protection teams to address operational issues and enhance monitoring controls. Perform policy updates by coordinating with other team members. Ensure that process documentation is maintained, reviewed, and updated on an ongoing basis.
Create, review, maintain, and update documentation; undertake problem ownership and project leadership. Plan and execute controlled releases into the managed environment. Identify opportunities for automation and scripting to improve processes.
Qualifications IT‑security professional with solid experience in infrastructure security or IT application security domain. Experience running data discovery, loss, and cloud‑based protection services. Familiar with data loss investigations and incident response processes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Highly motivated, self‑motivated, can manage multiple priorities independently. Willingness to protect business areas and data.
Experience with global deployments of data‑loss prevention products and/or cloud‑based solutions. Industry related certification – e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CISA, CISM. Knowledge of financial services business lines and associated applications and processes.
Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, and audit requirements. Experience administering Broadcom DLP/CASB solutions. General networking skills (firewalls, routing, NAT, SIEM, packet trace and analysis).
Knowledge of shell scripting, project management, interpersonal, communication, flexibility, self‑driven, team player.
