What Youll Be Doing (position summary): The Manager, Global Money Operations, is responsible for leading the Hyderabad-based Global Money Operations team in the execution of end-to-end global payment operations. This role. ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all domestic and international money movement activities, directly supporting CIBCs strategic objectives for operational excellence, risk. management, and client satisfaction. How Youll Succeed (responsibilities): Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for processing, validating, and reconciling global payment transactions (SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, Wire, etc.). Oversee investigation and resolution of complex payment exceptions, disputes, and reconciliation issues.
Monitor team performance against SLAs and KPIs, driving continuous process improvements and operational efficiency. Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technology, risk, compliance, and business partners, to support business initiatives and resolve issues.
Manage audit, risk management, and business continuity activities for the team. Prepare and deliver regular management reporting on operational metrics, risk, and compliance matters. Foster a culture of client focus, innovation, and accountability within the team.
CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Key relationships with a wide range of internal CIBC employees, teams and departments at peer level and up to Senior Management/Director levels to share information, ensure compliance and operational efficiencies, present strategies, recommend solutions and resolve issues. COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES: As a manager of people, this job must ensure all employees within the business unit comply with all applicable CIBC and Line of Business policies, standards, guidelines and controls. AUTHORITIES/DECISION RIGHTS As a manager of people, this job has the authority to assign tasks to employees within their span of control, select individuals for hire, assess individual performance, make employee compensation decisions and take disciplinary measures up to and including termination JOB DIMENSIONS: Oversees a team processing high volumes of complex global payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SLAs and regulatory standards.
Manages operational risk, resolves escalated payment issues, and oversees workflow management, performance monitoring, and process improvement initiatives for greater efficiency and client satisfaction. Collaborates with senior leadership, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders to support. business objectives, maintain service excellence, and provide regular operational reporting. Supports business continuity planning and may oversee team resource allocation and budget management.
Experience: 8+ years of experience Who You Are (skills/qualifications): Must Have Skills: Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience in payment operations, global money movement, or financial services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Demonstrated expertise in SWIFT payment messaging, nostro/vostro account reconciliation, and global payment systems.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal). Strong understanding of credit products, processing workflows, and regulatory frameworks. Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with credit processing systems and workflow management tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
