Why this role exists: The Business Analysis & Process Improvement Manager leads the capability responsible for shaping priority improvement opportunities into practical, measurable outcomes. The role ensures initiatives are defined with a clear understanding of end-to-end process impact, commercial value, operational readiness, business ownership and adoption requirements before delivery begins. Working across business, analytics, data, AI and technology teams, the role ensures effort is focused on initiatives that improve customer outcomes, operational performance, productivity and commercial value Where you will make a difference: In this role you will: Team Leadership: Lead, coach and develop a team of Business Analysis & Process Improvement Leads and Analysts.

Build capability in business analysis, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, requirements definition and benefit tracking. Set consistent standards for process mapping, current-state analysis, future-state design, requirements, documentation and handover. Coach the team to connect process change and delivery activity to measurable business outcomes.

Ensure team outputs are practical, commercially relevant and focused on decisions, action and value. Build a team culture focused on clarity, accountability, continuous improvement and business impact. End-to-End Value Delivery: Ensure priority initiatives are shaped around clear business problems, expected value and measurable outcomes.

Oversee work from problem definition through to process redesign, delivery readiness, adoption and benefit tracking. Ensure process improvement considers the full end-to-end value chain, including upstream inputs, downstream impacts, handoffs, decision points, controls and ownership. Guide the team to identify root causes, process friction, duplication, rework and performance improvement opportunities.

Ensure future-state processes are practical, scalable and embedded into day-to-day operations. Challenge activity that creates outputs without clear customer, commercial or operational value. Business Partnering and Initiative Shaping: Partner with business leaders, Analytics Business Partners and SMEs to understand priorities, performance gaps and improvement opportunities.

Translate business priorities into well-shaped initiatives with clear scope, ownership, readiness and expected benefits. Ensure business stakeholders are engaged early so the problem, value case, process impacts and adoption needs are clear before delivery starts. Challenge unclear, low-value or poorly defined demand where the benefit, owner or decision pathway is not clear.

Maintain strong business engagement through delivery so solutions are practical, adopted and owned. Portfolio and Capacity Management: Manage the teams work portfolio across BAU, projects and squad-based initiatives. Allocate team capacity based on value, urgency, readiness, risk, sponsorship and available capability.

Maintain visibility of work in progress, capacity constraints, risks, dependencies, delivery progress and expected outcomes. Support critical BAU activity while reducing low-value, duplicate or poorly shaped work. Escalate capacity trade-offs and prioritization risks to senior leaders as required.

Ensure team effort is directed to work with clear ownership and measurable impact. Cross-Functional Delivery and Adoption: Work with business, analytics, data, AI, technology, change and delivery teams to support end-to-end initiative delivery. Ensure initiatives have clear requirements, process impacts, decision points, success measures and adoption plans.

Provide delivery teams with the business context and process detail required to progress work effectively. Ensure benefit assumptions, adoption risks and lessons learned are captured to inform future prioritization. Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement activity.

Who you will be working with: Senior Sponsors and Business Leads: Supporting OLT-sponsored initiatives by working with project sponsors, business leads and SMEs to align work with agreed priorities. Analytics & Enterprise Value Delivery leadership: Aligning priorities, capacity, risks and delivery progress. Analytics, Data, AI and Technology teams: Ensuring requirements and process changes are practical and deliverable.

Cross-Functional Squads: Deploying team members into multidisciplinary delivery teams. Delivery, Change and Finance teams: Supporting implementation, benefit tracking and transition into BAU. What success looks like: Priority initiatives are shaped around clear value, ownership and measurable business outcomes.

End-to-end process impacts, handoffs, risks and adoption requirements are understood before delivery starts. Team capacity is focused on the highest-value work, with low-value or poorly defined demand challenged early. Business and delivery teams are aligned on the problem, process change and outcome required.

Delivered changes are embedded into BAU with clear ownership, success measures and benefit tracking. The team is recognized as a trusted partner for practical improvement and measurable value delivery. Experience: 12+ years experience in business analysis, process improvement, transformation, business design or operations improvement, including 23+ years leading teams or managing capability. Team Leadership: Experience leading, coaching or managing teams responsible for business analysis, process improvement, operational improvement or transformation delivery.

Cross-Functional Delivery: Experience working in cross-functional delivery environments across business, analytics, data, AI, technology and operations. Resource Management: Experience managing team capacity and allocating resources across competing business priorities, BAU support, project work and cross-functional initiatives. Process Improvement: Strong experience improving business processes, workflows and ways of working to deliver measurable customer, commercial or operational outcomes.

Stakeholder Management: Experience working with senior stakeholders to clarify business problems, assess options, manage ambiguity and align teams around practical decisions. Preferred: Industry Experience: Experience in retail, FMCG, supply chain, omnichannel or another high-volume customer-facing environment. Agile Delivery Methods: Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, human-centred design, agile delivery, product ownership, process engineering or business architecture methods.

Technology Knowledge: Familiarity with analytics, AI, automation, data products or modern technology delivery.
