Senior HVDC Switchyard Design Engineer Role

Join our Station Design Department as a Senior HVDC Switchyard Design Engineer, focusing on high voltage electrical design in a hybrid work environment. Support HVDC converter stations and mentor junior staff with your expertise. We are looking for a Senior HVDC Switchyard Design Engineer with at least seven years of experience, including three years in HVDC systems.

Your technical knowledge will drive the design process from concept to delivery, ensuring robust plans for AC and DC stations up to 500 kV. You will play a key role in coordinating project requirements and fostering collaboration among project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: • Design high voltage AC and DC transmission systems • Mentor engineers and oversee project deliverables • Supervise contractor activities for HVDC designs • Develop innovative standards in switchyard design • Collaborate with internal and external teams for project alignment Requirements: • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering • Minimum seven years of experience in HVDC design • Good standing with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba • Knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards • Strong leadership and communication skills Utilize your HVDC expertise to optimize design and mentor a skilled team in our Station Design Department. #J-18808-Ljbffr
