About this Job: MedStar Health is looking for a part-time CT (Computed Tomography) Technologist to join our team at Medstar Washington Hospital Center ! Saturdays and Sundays 7:00pm-7:00am As a CT Technologist, you will operate diagnostic equipment to produce computerized axial tomographic scan (CT) images of internal organs for use by professional personnel. Explains process to patients and interviews for medical history.

V. site for contrast infusion and administers oral, rectal and I.Consults with Radiologist prior to administering I.Enters patient and exam data into x-ray computer system and performs computed scan images.
Prepares reports and maintains records of service rendered, using the radiology department computer system to verify billing and quality assurance. Completes incident reports and anesthesia records when necessary. Assists Radiologist with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages.
Informs Radiologist of scan results when anomalies or abnormalities are visible. Schedules patient exams and revises daily schedules to accommodate emergency exams from MedSTAR, ER, and other units. ~ Films CT scan images and archive exams onto tape or optical disk. Assists in the training and orientation of new employees and students.
Completes all required information system functions to assure proper patient information, billing, exam, and other necessary functions are correctly entered and maintained. Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or Medical Education and Training Campus (METC). Successful completion of a CT certificate or cross-training program preferred.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) registration.
