Job Category: Business Leader Requisition Number: SENIO007517 Full‑Time Remote Locations Vancity Centre, 183 Terminal Ave, Vancouver, BC V6A4G2, CAN Remote (eligible for candidates in BC or Ontario) Senior Manager, Intelligent Automation & Orchestration – Lead the enterprise automation capability and evolve it into a product‑driven, AI‑enabled orchestration function. The role expands beyond traditional RPA to drive end‑to‑end orchestration across the AICoE pods (Automation, Applied ML, and GenAI), enabling integrated, user‑centric, production‑ready solutions reusable across the organization. Lead a team of automation engineers and integrate RPA, AI/ML, and GenAI capabilities to deliver scalable, user‑centric solutions that improve member experience, operational efficiency, and decision quality.
Apply a product‑management lens to own prioritization, roadmap, and value realization, and establish standardized delivery patterns, platform alignment, and governance practices that support scalable AI adoption. This full‑time, permanent role is based at Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, AI CoE. A hybrid or remote work arrangement is offered, with candidates able to work from BC or Ontario.
How You’ll Make an Impact Own the automation product roadmap, aligning priorities to business value, ROI, user impact, and scalability. Ensure solutions are user‑centric across branch, operations, risk, and digital teams. Drive reuse across use cases and business units, reducing bespoke builds.
Automation Design, Development & Production Readiness Oversee design, development, testing, and deployment of reliable, scalable, production‑ready automation solutions. Ensure solutions are integrated into enterprise systems and workflows. Establish standards for monitoring, observability, incident management, and operational support.
Define and execute enterprise automation strategy aligned to AICoE priorities, integrating AI/ML and GenAI capabilities into agentic workflows. Bridge Automation, Applied ML, and GenAI pods to deliver end‑to‑end, production‑ready solutions. Provide technical leadership for the Intelligent Automation pod and its talent base.
Standards, Reuse & Platform Alignment Build reusable automation and orchestration patterns, including workflow automation, system integration, and AI + automation orchestration. Align delivery with Azure, Databricks, enterprise architecture, and core systems such as T24 and CRM. Lead vendor and platform oversight across automation and AI platforms, including UiPath, Power Automate, and the Microsoft ecosystem.
Ensure solutions are cost‑effective, scalable, and aligned to long‑term platform strategy. Evaluate emerging tools and agentic AI capabilities for enterprise fit. Governance & Compliance Ensure automation solutions meet organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
Partner with Governance teams to embed controls, auditability, and risk management into delivery. Lead and develop automation engineers and developers while fostering innovation, accountability, and high‑quality delivery. Act as a business‑facing orchestration leader, partnering with Product, Operations, Risk, and IT to align delivery to outcomes.
What You’ll Bring to the Team 10+ years of experience in automation, enterprise technology, or digital delivery, with strong expertise in RPA and workflow orchestration. Demonstrated experience integrating automation with AI/ML/GenAI solutions and delivering end‑to‑end production outcomes. Hands‑on experience with APIs, enterprise integration, Azure architectures, CI/CD, monitoring, production support, and programming in Python, VB.NET, C#, and SQL.
Strong understanding of governance, auditability, compliance, and risk considerations in automated and AI‑driven processes. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology. Experience with workflow orchestration, queue management, and scheduling, including tools such as UiPath Orchestrator.

The base pay offered may vary based on qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. Eligible employees may also participate in the annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
